December marked a period of reflection, celebration, and renewed focus for the English Language Department as the year drew to a close and a new one began. December lessons consolidated learning through fluency-building tasks, presentations, and seasonal themes that encouraged creative and confident language use, while festive cultural visits and winter events across London offered authentic opportunities to practise English in real-life contexts. In January, students will return with fresh motivation, will set clear goals for the new year, and will engage in more challenging language work that will emphasise accuracy, academic vocabulary, and effective communication. Collaborative activities will continue to strengthen cross-cultural connections, ensuring a strong and purposeful start to the year ahead. |

The Saatchi Gallery consistently presents us with some of the most inspiring and thought provoking art in London. The Long Now is a brilliant showcase of the gallery’s decades-long passion for contemporary art, and knack of making stars out of artists whose work is as thought-provoking as it is visually arresting. One of the most expertly curated and deeply satisfying displays of contemporary art in London in recent memory. |

| Joining a crowd of over 8,000 people might not sound like the best cure for your NYE hangover, but its hard to stay miserable when you’re surrounded by the mirth of the London New Year’s Day parade. The route will move from Piccadilly, through Regent Street and St James’s, along Pall Mall and through Whitehall, ending at Westminster. Along the way, there’ll be Pearly Kings and Queens, street dancers, brass bands, samba bands and much more making the first day of the new year an absolute blast. Updates on the logistics and performers will be posted on the LNYDP’s website and social media. |
