This past month, we welcomed enthusiastic students from Turkiye and Algeria who made fantastic progress in both grammar and speaking. Through interactive tasks and regular conversation practice, their confidence has noticeably grown. Our lessons also explored deeper societal and global issues, sparking thoughtful debate and improving fluency. Outside the classroom, students had the unique opportunity to visit the Old Bailey for a live court session—an unforgettable and eye-opening experience. We also explored the John Soane Museum, the Wallace Collection, and Regent’s Park, combining language learning with cultural discovery. Meanwhile, one of our returning students from Turkey has been steadily working towards his IELTS goals, showing strong improvement each week. Well done to all! |

HED students had a productive and eventful June: Students finalised their plans for the End-of-Term projects. Hospitality Management (HM) groups will host an International Food Day at Limehouse Library Hotel, while International Travel & Tourism Management (ITTM) groups are set to organise a London City Tour at the end of July. Both events will be open to all DAL stakeholders, generating great excitement among the students. HM students participated in a field trip to our partner EV Restaurant as part of their Unit 6 MFBO coursework. They engaged in a Q&A session with the restaurant manager and head chef, followed by an enjoyable open buffet. - Several webinars were conducted, focusing on academic skills and professional development. |

June was packed with exciting outings that gave our students a deeper look into London’s history and culture. A highlight was our visit to the Old Bailey, where students experienced a live court session — an eye-opening and unforgettable moment. We also explored the John Soane Museum, the Wallace Collection, and enjoyed some relaxing time in Regent’s Park. These trips not only supported language learning in real-world settings but also gave students a chance to connect and share cultural insights. |
