January 2026 at DAL was a celebration of fresh beginnings and global connections! The school buzzed with life as students from around the world came together, forming a vibrant community of learners eager to unlock their full potential. The Spring term is officially underway for our BTEC Hospitality Management and International Travel & Tourism Management students—and it’s set to be an exciting one. This term, students will shape their professional identity, explore the key differences between leadership and management, dive into the essentials of marketing with a strong focus on digital strategies, and uncover valuable insights into consumer behaviour.

With a dynamic schedule ahead featuring industry field trips, inspiring webinars, and hands-on workshops, this promises to be a fast-paced, immersive term that brings learning to life and prepares students for success in the global industry.

The Tate Modern kicks off its 2026 programme with a retrospective tracing the 40-year career of Croydon’s finest artistic export, Tracey Emin. Over 90 pieces will be exibited in the landmark exhibition, including some of the Young British Artist’s most defining works, from her famous neons and her controversial Turner Prize-nominated installation My Bed, to painting, video, textiles and never-before-exibited sculptures. Expect plenty of raw, confessional art exploring love, trauma and the female body.

This winter, award-winning theatre maker Tim Crouch brings his unique, theatrical approach to Shakespeare’s The Tempest in the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

Prospero, Miranda, Caliban and Ariel. Four lost souls stranded on this island with no hope of escape.

As the years pass, they tell themselves a story. A story that is told over and over. A story of past wrongs. A story of desire and revenge. A story of a storm that will rescue and redeem them.
