| The Crystal Palace Subway Open Day is a free event allowing visitors to explore a hidden architectural gem beneath Crystal Palace Park. The Subway, designed in 1865 by Charles Barry Jr., is one of the last remaining structures from the original Crystal Palace, which was destroyed by fire in 1936. Now a Grade II listed heritage site*, it will be used for cultural events, exhibitions, and performances in the future. The visit is self-guided, but staff and volunteers will be available. |
